The commitment to sustainability requires research and development support to generate knowledge and technologies that lead to the rational use of the bio-diversity in the Jari Valley.
Research and development is directed to wood product technologies and sustainable forest management, seeking better management practices, accurate botanical identification, better product quality and optimization of the production system, in addition to properties and applications of lesser known wood species.
